Stage Two

Part 1 - 2 - Tech - Option 1 - Option 2

Stage Two is very broad and there are near limitless combinations that fall into this category. For the purpose of keeping this information succinct and to the point I will try to focus on the middle chunk of Stage Two. As well as the Stage One mods here is a list of things to check off before considering Stage Two:

>You will definitely need a new clutch here. The stock one will be ripped to shreds before you can say “2nd gear doughies”. I recommend a heavy duty single plate organic clutch or if you have the money, just skip straight to a high performance twin plate clutch; it will last longer and be easier to drive than a single plate clutch with a huge load rating.
>Driveshaft: the axels and driveshaft will need to be upgraded to prolong the life of your vehicle.
>Differential: Install an LSD centre at least otherwise when the car makes bulk power it will be lost though wheel spin.
>Electronic boost controller: Get one from a reputable company that you know will work. Eboost 2 or the greddy Profecb 2 are great options here. Make sure the solenoid inside the controller can handle your desired boost level.
>ECU. Most people choose the Power FC as they are cheap and highly available. Most reputable tuning shops will know how to tune these. You need this computer to make sure fuel and spark is delivered at the correct time and all other associated processes in the motor are run safely. Some aftermarket computers will even have functions such as launch control or NOS control. Other brands include EMS, Microtech, Haltech or Motec.
>RAS. Rocker Arm Stoppers. These should be installed whenever a motor is intended to be run hard or boosted more than stock. They are cheap valuable addition to your motor that sit above the cams and are neccesary for high revving scenarios.
>Head stud kit (ARP recommended). This becomes important when running 18-20+ Psi.
